Dear GGBC Family and Friends,
 
We have fantastic news for guests and members who don't want to wait in queue times, and for those who would like to avoid waiting for a court.  Starting now, we will open most of our courts for reservation, and the best part is we also have drastically reduced the rental fee.  At $15 or less than $4 per person for doubles per hour, we have created a cost effective way for you to enjoy uninterrupted and non-distracted play time.
 
This model is an embraced and very successful system used in the best clubs around the world which we researched, including our affiliate friends in Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley Badminton Club (SGVBC).  Visit their website to check out their online reservation system which will be operational for GGBC soon. http://www.sgvbc.net/
 
With this state of the art online reservation system, you will able to reserve a court from anywhere and anytime.  Of course some of our members would prefer a standard drop-in with queuing system, and we will continue to have available courts as well.
 
Our objective for this new system and model is to improve our prime time court order, and increase both player satisfaction and experience. 
 
Some of the primary player benefits include:  
  • No wait times, non-stop play.
  • Ability to reserve a court from anywhere and at anytime.
  • Undistracted court playing time.
  • Ability to pay online.
  • No arguments associated with court rotations.
  • Less expensive to play. If you have 4 players for one court, it's less than $4/hour for members, or less than $8/hour for non members.
  • Reduce chance of injury from eliminating the need to warm up again.  
Weekly Court Reservation Credit Lottery
 
To celebrate the introduction for this new service and system, we'll also have weekly reservation credit lottery for the next 5 weeks. Each week, at each club, we'll draw 10 lucky winners for the FREE reservation credit. Each winner will get a one hour FREE court credit! So make sure you fill up the lottery form at the front desk the next time you visit GGBC!

-You are required to make your reservation ahead of time with a credit card.
For popular times you may need to make your reservation more than a week in advance. It is a first come first serve system.  Members of GGBC can reserve courts for $15 per hour.

-Non-members on a 'member reserved' court still have to pay a guest fee of $8 at front desk when entering the club. If your group only has one or two members and a lot of non-members, then it may be a better deal to reserve your court time as a 'non member'.   
Non-Members can reserve courts for $30 per hour.

- Under a Non-Member reservation there is no guest fee due at the front desk. You can have as many friends use the court during your reserved time. When your reservation period ends, you can no longer use any courts. If your group goes over your time you will be notified by the front desk to either leave the courts or be billed for another hour of play.
 
- Cancellation will be allowed with 24 hour notice, and no direct refunds will be made. You will receive a reservation credit for the amount charged. The reservation system will apply your reservation credit towards the next time you book a court reservation.

Note: We fully understand it might mean less courts for rotation-play sometimes; however, after long contemplation, we think it's the fairest way for players who are willing to pay a bit extra to enjoy the convenience and benefits of reserving their own courts and also for us to counter the increasing operating cost without increasing the membership dues. In addition, members and guests are always welcome and have the option to enjoy all the open courts at the non-busy time as well. Again, thank you for your understanding and support.
