MIKE YANG, FOUNDER / PRESIDENT

Mike has had an enduring dream of building an unparalleled Badminton Club since he moved to Bay Area seven years ago. His passion for the game has enabled him to recognize the increasing popularity of badminton. Mike is very excited and proud to present the GGBC today, a fruition of two years of long persistent work. He and the GGBC team promises to keep GGBC on top of the current needs of today's most enthusiastic players.Mike wants all badminton fanatics, like himself, to have a premium facility open 7 days a week! GGBC in the Bay Area is a dream come true for Mike, and he hopes it can be the same for you!

Mike was the coach of the UC Berkeley Badminton Club for five years from 1999-2003. He has won over 70 open tournament championship titles in the Bay Area and US since 1998. Some of his titles include: Triple Crown winner of the Bay Area Open (2002). Cal State Games singles and doubles winner, first place in MX at Collegiate Nationals, and first place in singles at the Honolulu Open (2001). He is currently ranked number #2 in the US Adult Men's singles division, ranked #3 in Men's doubles, and ranked #4 in mixed doubles (last updated on the USA badminton website, national rankings, March 4, 2005).
